How long does an Inspection take?
We are capable of inspecting all vehicles 1996 and newer. The cost for this State Inspection is 25.50.
Most vehicles produced from 1997 and older will fall under the Classic category, and will only need safety inspections. Which will cost 7.00.
Customers will need to provide the vehicle which you are inspecting, and a current valid TEXAS STATE proof of liability insurance card In person. (Cell phone provided pictures are welcomed)
DFW AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE will provide you with a printout of your inspection PASS or Fail. This is also uploaded to the States database instantly so you can go online and register your vehicle almost the same time your car passes inspection.
Do I get a sticker?
Inspection Stickers
Vehicles are no longer required to have an inspection sticker on the vehicle’s windshield. The inspection sticker has been replaced by the Vehicle Inspection Report (VIR). Keep the VIR handy as it may need to be shown at the time of registration.
